A queer Korean born in Louisiana, Chaeeun Yoo explores the intersections between culture, politics, and identity through varying disciplines of artmaking. A current student at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Yoo is also the founder and editor-in-chief of a literary arts journal, The Redwood Review. They have been recognized by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers, Mint Hill Arts Center, The Kenyon Review, and others. From a printmaker to a mixed media collagist, Yoo works across mediums to critique customary perspectives and uplift the self.
